Code of Conduct

We have an awesome opportunity to work together to reach out to Youth & Young adults, impacting their lives and causing change to happen in our city and nation. Thank you for your interest to be a part of this great effort. We consider serving God in ministry an incredible privilege and a serious calling. We have put together some guidelines to help us serve best in our positions of responsibility.

While we expect and ask our youth team to esteem our high standard and be committed, there is always love and grace no matter where you find yourself in a journey of growing more Christ-like. We believe that Christ does not expect perfection, but we strive hard to be Holy like He is. This way, when people see us, they will see that we are a picture of who our God truly is.

Please Read The Following Standards Of Ministry:

1. I am a committed Christ follower, filled with the Holy Spirit, and living in agreement with the word of God.
2. I am a member of Watoto church, and I support the vision of both the church and Youth ministry.
3. I will regularly attend the main service for my own personal spiritual growth.
4. I will respect the authority of the Pastor and leaders and will follow their leadership and direction.
5. I will give 100% of myself to my responsibilities.
6. I will conduct my personal relationships in an appropriate manner.

As a single person:

• I will conduct myself sexually in a way that honors God and keep Godly boundaries of intimacy.
• I will not pursue or be in a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship with a non-Christian.
• I will inform my pastor/youth worker if I am to get into any serious relationship.
• I will not engage in the use of pornography.
• I will not get involved in any form of intimate relationship with a mentee.

As a married person:

• I will remain sexually faithful to my spouse till death does us part.
• I will honor God's standard of a monogamous heterosexual marriage.
• I will not engage in the use of pornographic material.

I agree with and choose to the best of my ability to respect and follow these Standards Of the Youth Ministry, Watoto Church.
